About Tonga Netball Association
Tonga Netball Association (TNA) is the peak sporting body for netball across Tonga and is responsible for improving the accessibility of netball for all. TNA’s vision is to have an ongoing participation in netball and its proposition to contribute significantly to community building and social cohesion.
Kau Mai Tonga, Ke Tau Netipolo Campaign (KMT) has successfully drawn lots of attention to netball throughout Tonga and is just one of the key programs run by TNA. KMT did not only reinstate the fun of playing netball socially but also offered healthy lifestyles to participants.
Since then, TNA has continued to host local tournaments throughout the islands of Tonga ranging from schools, communities, businesses, government departments – just to name a few.
Netball Australia partnered with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in 2011 to help support the development of the game in Tonga, through PacificAus Sports and the One Netball Tonga programs. Find more information about the programs and their objectives below.
