For many Australian kids, netball is their first proper taste ofĀ team sport.

Netball is a sporting pioneer.

ItĀ isĀ Australiaā€™s most popularĀ teamĀ sport forĀ girls and is played byĀ kids all over Australia, from Hobart to Alice Springs, and pretty much everywhere in between. All those PE lessons spent fighting for the GA bib, or running around a schoolyard court. Those are the sportā€™s sticky, concrete roots. Where future Diamonds are made.

The next generation of netballers are out there right now, and helping them get fit, make friends and have fun is a big part of Netball Australiaā€™s national strategy.

Sporting Schools

The Sporting Schools program has been running by the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) since 2015, and offers an exciting opportunity for schools to experience a wide range of sports through teacher or coach delivered sporting programs.

The ASC, Netball Australia and the Member Organisations are working together to ensure school children from Foundation to Year 8 have the opportunity to participate in fun, safe and active Netball sessions as part of the Sporting Schools program.

Sporting Schools Programs 

Netball Schools is Netball Australia's official in schools' program and has been developed to provide students with the best possible learning and playing experience. From skill development through fun games and game-sense activities, sessions cater for students Foundation to Year 6 of all levels of experience and ability. suitable for coach or teacher ability.

Fast5 Netball programs are provided with a suite of digital resources containing everything you need to know to deliver an awesome Fast5 program. Session plans, guides for the off-court roles of Umpire, Scorer and Timekeeper and a court marking guide are all included.
