Hancock Prospecting’s partnership will invest directly in the Diamonds’ athletes and coaches, and provide funding support for training camps and competitions.
It comes at a key time for the Diamonds, as they prepare for the 2023 Netball World Cup in Cape Town and the Victoria 2026 Commonwealth Games.
The Hancock Prospecting logo will feature on the Diamonds’ uniforms when they take on New Zealand in the 12th Constellation Cup this October, before hosting the Diamonds versus England Roses Series. Origin will remain the Diamonds’ naming rights partner.
Netball Australia CEO Kelly Ryan warmly welcomed Hancock Prospecting, its Executive Chairman, Gina Rinehart, and the partnership.
“This is a major investment for our sport, and is a huge contribution towards the ongoing success of the Diamonds,” Ryan said.
“We are incredibly grateful to this leading Australian private company, Hancock Prospecting, for its significant support and partnership.
“Hancock Prospecting is investing directly into the Diamonds high performance program, allowing Netball Australia to maintain its position as the cornerstone of women’s sport in Australia.
"We are excited that they have chosen to partner with Australia’s most popular female team sport and the world’s number one ranked netball team - the Origin Australian Diamonds.”
