After eighteen months of planning, Netball Australia was delighted to launch the Foundation in 2015 to raise money to help women and girls achieve their full potential both on and off the court.
In our first nine months, the Netball Foundation reached more than 17,500 participants in every state and territory across Australia, with 51% of this reach in rural and regional areas.
Girls in vulnerable areas and community groups are at a greater disadvantage due to the limited resources and prospects offered to them. This makes it harder for them to seek the best possible opportunities and futures that they deserve.
For Australian girls to address gender equality, they need to develop and build upon their fundamental including self-belief and resilience, to make them strong, confident, and empowered young women.
Stories of how we helped empower Australian girls are found within the pages of this report; read and see how.
