WHAT IS THE SPIRIT SERIES?
The Spirit Series is a new international tournament celebrating pride, culture, and excellence for First Nations and Indo-Pacific women in netball.
Held during NAIDOC Week, an annual initiative celebrating and recognising the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, this tournament showcases First Nations netballers on the international stage.
Delivered in partnership with the Australian Government through PacificAus Sports, and proudly supported by the Confident Girls Foundation, Suncorp, and Arrpwere, this tournament creates a unique high-performance environment for emerging athletes, coaches, and umpires to gain valuable international experience, while inspiring the next generation of netballers.

The series will take place between 8 – 11 July, 2026.

The series will be held at Netball Central, Sydney (Wangal Country).

This event is free to attend, but we ask that you register your interest here.
Bring your friends and family to Netball Central to support the competing teams.
Bags and flags are permitted, but please leave flag poles at home.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE TOURNAMENT?
Eight elite international matches will be played across four days of competition, alongside culturally-led community engagement activities designed to inspire the next generation of athletes and strengthen connections across the region.
PacificAus Sports is an Australian Government sports diplomacy program that provides Pacific athletes, officials, and administrators access to high-performance training and elite competition. Through partnering with Australian national sporting organisations, like Netball Australia, the program aims to strengthen relationships across the Pacific through sport.
