The 2027 Super Netball signing period is officially open for business.
With all eight clubs set to revise their team lists, anything could happen as the 2027 signing period gets underway.

Anstiss departs Fever
August 7
West Coast Fever has announced midcourter Jess Anstiss will depart the club ahead of the 2027 season.
A widely respected midcourter and leader, Anstiss departs with 149 games under her belt including Fever's maiden premiership in 2022 and three seasons as captain.
"On behalf of everyone at West Coast Fever, I sincerely thank Jess for everything she has given this Club," Fever General Manager Sara Francis-Bayman said.
"While we will miss seeing Jess in green, we are incredibly grateful for everything she has contributed to West Coast Fever and look forward to celebrating the lasting impact she has made on our Club.
"She will always be part of the Green Army, and we wish her every success in whatever comes next."
Madi Browne signs with Lightning
August 7
Former Australian midcourter Madi Browne has signed with Sunshine Coast Lightning for 2027, making her assistant coaching debut with the club.
A two-time Liz Ellis Diamond, Browne will add great value to the Lightning program, especially through the midcourt.
“I’m really excited to be jumping into the coaching world at the elite level and especially with a team such as the Lightning,” Browne said.
“I was playing in the competition when the Lightning came in and won back-to-back premierships, so I know firsthand how successfully this program has been.
“To now be part of establishing a new era of success alongside Belinda and the rest of the high-performance team is something I’m looking forward to.”
Head coach Belinda Reynolds is positive for the club’s future and how Browne’s expertise can add to the program in 2027.
“We believe Madi will help to further elevate this group into the top tier of Super Netball teams and as someone who has been part of many successful programs, we believe Madi will be a great fit into our high-performance staff,” she said.
Lightning retains Reynolds
July 29
Sunshine Coast Lightning head coach Belinda Reynolds has signed a one-year contract extension.
Lightning CEO and Owner Justin Pascoe said securing Reynolds was a key priority.
“Having Belinda recommit to Sunshine Coast Lightning is a significant outcome, not only for our club but for our community,” Pascoe said.
“We have complete confidence in Belinda as our head coach, and just as importantly, we are committed to ensuring she has the right people, resources and high-performance environment around her to be successful.
“As owners, we recognise that success is never the responsibility of one person. It’s our role to provide our Head Coach with the support, capability and infrastructure needed to give our athletes every opportunity to perform at their best.”
Despite challenges over the past few seasons Reynolds is confident success will return to the Sunshine Coast.
“I feel very privileged to have coached our team for the last four seasons and appreciate the opportunity from the Club to lead this great group until the end of the 2027 season,” Reynolds said.
“Our playing group is motivated to bring success back to the Sunshine Coast and I’m just as excited to see what we can achieve next season, as when I first arrived.”
Harten joins Nexhip
July 22
Jo Harten MBE has been appointed NSW Swifts assistant coach for 2027, with one season under her belt following her SSN retirement at the end of 2025.
The former England Roses goal shooter boasts experience as the Technical Coach for the Roses since 2023 and is looking forward to returning to the Swifts for another year.
"I’m incredibly grateful to be a part of an ambitious team at the Swifts, with high performance values at the core of what we do," Harten said.
“I have loved working with the squad both in training and on game day throughout 2026, and I’m excited to build on these connections as we challenge ourselves to strive for greatness in 2027 and beyond.”
Newly appointed head coach Dylan Nexhip says Harten’s experience will add an additional layer to the Swifts’ performance in 2027 and beyond.
“Her understanding of the game, her ability to connect with athletes and her absolute commitment to bringing the best out of people makes her an outstanding addition to our coaching group,” he said.
"Together we will create an environment where our athletes are challenged every single day, where high effort is the standard and where respect sits at the heart of everything we do.”
Nexhip to take next step
July 14
NSW Swifts have elevated Dylan Nexhip to head coach for 2027 after two seasons as assistant coach under outgoing coach Briony Akle.
The former Australian Kelpies captain says he is honoured by the appointment and looking forward to starting a new chapter at the Swifts.
“It is an incredible honour to be appointed Head Coach of the NSW Swifts,” Nexhip said.
“This Club has a rich history of incredible coaches and athletes, a strong culture and an unwavering commitment to excellence. I am grateful for the opportunity and excited by what we can achieve together.
“We will continue to invest in our people, challenge ourselves to think differently and create an environment where every individual can contribute to our success.”
Stewart and Wright to lead
July 1
GIANTS head coach Nerida Stewart and assistant coach Jen Wright signed a one-year contract extension which will remain in place with the new SEG club ownership from 2027.
“I’ve always believed that strong programs are built on genuine partnerships, and that’s exactly what Jen and I have developed,” Stewart said.
“There’s something special within this program, and I’m really excited to continue building that alongside Jen.”
