The 2025 Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final is officially sold out, with more than 14,000 fans set to fill Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, the largest crowd in Grand Final history.
Saturday night’s decider between the West Coast Fever and Melbourne Vixens marks the fourth consecutive Grand Final sell-out, following full houses in Adelaide in 2024, Melbourne in 2023 and Perth in 2022.
While Perth currently holds the league’s Grand Final attendance record at 13,908 people, this year’s showdown is set to eclipse that milestone, a fitting finale to a record-breaking Suncorp Super Netball season.
A new all-time high of 343,634 fans turned out across the 2025 Suncorp Super Netball home and away season, marking the most attended in national league history.
Netball Australia CEO Stacey West said the Grand Final sell-out was a reflection of the game’s continued rise.
“Selling out Rod Laver Arena and breaking attendance records this season is a testament to the incredible growth and passion surrounding the world’s best netball league,” West said.
“This doesn’t happen without the hard work of our clubs, the commitment of our athletes, and the support of our fans. They’ve all played a part in getting the game to this momentous level.
“Netball is continuing to assert itself as key playmaker in Australian sport. The energy behind the game right now is electric, and this record crowd could become one for the ages.”
Melbourne is ready to welcome fans from around the country, with Visit Victoria proudly supporting the 2025 Grand Final as the official host partner.
Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos said, “Melbourne does big events like nowhere else, and the 14,000 lucky fans who pack into Rod Laver Arena on Saturday night will become part of this country’s sporting history.
“This event will also be a huge win for our visitor economy, because our hotels will be packed and our restaurants will be buzzing – as we continue to give people reasons to book a trip and see what makes Victoria ‘Every bit different’.”
This year also sees unprecedented demand off the court, with the largest amount of premium hospitality packages ever offered for a Grand Final, with every single one sold out. The 2025 Grand Final Lunch has also set a new benchmark as the biggest in league history, bringing together fans, players, and VIPs in a true celebration of netball.
Adding to the night’s spectacle will be an unforgettable halftime show presented by BRING – Universal Music for Brands. Featuring a powerhouse lineup of Charley, Siala and Bella Mackenzie, the performance will fuse pop, R&B and country in a dynamic celebration of rising Aussie talent.
