New South Wales have regained the Marie Little Shield, winning the 2024 edition by just five goals against 2023 champions Victoria on Sunday afternoon, at Nissan Arena in Brisbane.
The champions finished the tournament without a loss, flexing their muscles on all three days of competition, highlighted by their notable 30-goal win over Western Australia in Saturday eveningโs semi-final.
Sundayโs earlier fixtures included Tasmaniaโs first ever Marie Little Shield win, as the Apple Isle claimed seventh place with victory by four goals against the Australian Capital Territory.
Tournament hosts Queensland finished in fifth thanks to their 20-9 win against the Northern Territory and South Australia impressively won bronze by 16 goals, defeating Western Australia, 31-15.
South Australiaโs Isabella Ivanvic-Holland starred across all three days of the tournament and was named MVP, while the Northern Territoryโs Naomi Alliston was awarded the Naomi Perry Spirit Award.
