A new Director has joined the Netball Australia Board following the game’s Annual General Meeting.
Anthony Moore commences as an Elected Director for a three-year term.
Mr Moore has extensive experience in governance, risk management, financial oversight and strategic planning, having led sector-wide reforms, major commercial partnerships and transformational change in both grassroots and elite sport environments.
His leadership experience in national sporting organisations includes as Executive Vice President International Table Tennis Federation, CEO of Basketball Australia, General Manager at the Australian Sports Commission and Interim CEO of Oceania National Olympic Committees.
Tuesday night’s Annual General Meeting also represented the completion of the term of Peter Legg.
In acknowledging Mr Legg, Netball Australia Chair Liz Ellis AO reflected on his contribution to the sport.
“Peter has brought invaluable expertise and insight to our sport since joining the Board in 2019, and his passion for netball from grassroots to elite level is evident,” Ms Ellis said.
“On behalf of Netball Australia and our wider netball community, I offer Peter our sincere thanks for all he has contributed to our game.”
Liz Ellis has been re-elected as Chair of Netball Australia for her third year and Gabbi Stubbs, continuing as an Appointed Director for a three-year term, will continue as Deputy Chair for her second year.
A formal process to fill the vacancy of Appointed Director left by Todd Deacon in November 2025 is being undertaken.
