Netball Australia welcomes the Federal Government鈥檚 groundbreaking announcement of the Play Our Way program, to improve sporting facilities and equipment specifically for women and girls.
Fresh from an historic 12th Netball World Cup win, the Origin Australian Diamonds are continuing to inspire girls and women across the country to play netball.
We are proud to play a part in a wave of support for women鈥檚 sport in Australia. Netball is the number one participation sport for females across the country.
We thank Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Sports Minister Anika Wells for their recognition of the need for more funding to ensure appropriate facilities and resources are there for girls and women at the grassroots level.
We look forward to working with the Federal Government, our Member Organisations and local associations so the next generation of netballers can continue to shine at their local courts and on the world stage.
