
Netball Australia Chair Liz Ellis AO has congratulated Kate Jenkins AO on her appointment as Australian Sports Commission Chair.
Ms Jenkins has held high profile roles including as the Australian Sex Discrimination Commissioner and Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commissioner. She has extensive experience leading a number of successful cultural change reforms, including as a panel member for Netball Australia’s State of the Game Review.
“On behalf of Netball Australia, we welcome Kate to the role of Chair at the Australian Sports Commission,” Ms Ellis said.
“We look forward to working closely with Kate and the Australian Sports Commission in the lead up to 2027, when Sydney will host the Netball World Cup and we will celebrate Netball Australia’s centenary.”
“We thank outgoing Chair Josephine Sukkar for her incredible advocacy over the past three years and the significant legacy she leaves.”
