Netball Australia has today announced that Christine Finnegan has been appointed Executive General Manager, Super League and Commercial Growth, commencing in February 2026.
Christine is a highly experienced sports administrator with a strong reputation for building partnerships, elevating brands, and strengthening the connections between sports teams and their fans and communities.
Netball Australia CEO Stacey West was delighted to secure Christine, noting the outstanding calibre of her skills and experience.
âChristine is a woman who knows the business of sport and who knows how to create opportunities and deliver results.
âShe will drive the next wave of commercial growth under our bold ten-year plan, Made in Netball, and will take the leadership reigns of Suncorp Super Netball League â Australiaâs most attended womenâs sports league as we seek to supercharge our success on and off the court,â Ms West said.
Ms Finnegan shared that she was delighted to further her contribution into womenâs sport as part of a national sporting organisation, as well as return home to her family in Melbourne.
"I am excited to be part of the future growth of the Suncorp Super Netball League as well as ensuring the whole netball ecosystem has a strong and sustainable commercial platform to support its growth long into the future.
"I have spent the majority of my career building men's Club programs around a number of codes and feel there is never a better time to bring the experience I have gained to womenâs sport and I am committed to play my role in delivering against netballs exciting new 10 year strategic plan.
âMy background of working in club land will be paramount in working with the existing Suncorp Super Netball clubs to thrive and at the same time driving expansion of the League and commercial platforms. I look forward to joining the team in the new year,â Ms Finnegan said.
