Netball Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of experienced netball administrator Kirrily Zimmerman to the Board.
Board Chair Wendy Archer AM said Ms Zimmerman’s passion and commitment to community netball would bring valuable skills and ideas to the Board.
Ms Zimmerman, who has been chosen to fill the elected casual vacancy, is an accountant and the former President of the Netball Victoria Board. She currently sits on the Netball Victoria Hall of Fame and Legends of the Game committee, and is an international netball bench official.
“Kirrily has demonstrated decades of commitment to growing the sport at a grassroots level and creating strong pathways to the elite level,’’ Ms Archer said.
“Netball’s participation has grown to more than one million players nationally and I welcome Kirrily’s passion and experience as we continually work hard to find new ways to connect with current and future generations of girls and women to ensure the continued growth of the game we love.’’
“Netball has been a big part of my life for a long time - I am excited to join the Netball Australia Board and contribute to our sport at a national level,’’ Ms Zimmerman said.
