The Origin Australian Diamonds will take on Jamaica in a three-match international test series in February 2026.
The series will mark the first time the Diamonds and Sunshine Girls have competed in a standalone series since 2011.
Their most recent clash came at the 2023 Netball World Cup in South Africa, and now Australian fans will get to witness the thrilling rivalry on home soil.
The series will open on Thursday 5 February at Adelaide Entertainment Centre, before heading west to Perth’s RAC Arena on Sunday 8 February for the second match.
The final match will take place on Wednesday 11 February at Melbourne’s John Cain Arena in partnership with the Victorian Government through Visit Victoria.
Netball Australia CEO Stacey West said the series provides an exciting opportunity to showcase the world's best netball team across three major Australian cities.
“Securing a standalone series against Jamaica for the first time since 2011 reflects our ongoing commitment to bringing high-quality international netball to our fans,” West said.
“Jamaica have consistently challenged top teams and hosting them ensures the Diamonds experience the type of contest that brings out the best in our sport.
“It’s also a fantastic opportunity to take the Diamonds to Adelaide, Perth and Melbourne, where we’ve seen exceptional support and sell-out crowds. Finishing the series in Melbourne, a city that has become a significant home for major moments in our international calendar, makes this series even more exciting.”
The 2026 summer series follows a dominant Diamonds finish in 2025, with the national team claiming a series victory over South Africa and reclaiming the Constellation Cup against New Zealand.
Origin Australian Diamonds head coach Stacey Marinkovich shared West’s sentiment, highlighting the importance of the Jamaica Series in the team’s preparation for upcoming international events.
“We haven’t faced the Jamaican brand of netball since the World Cup, so we are very much looking forward to going up against their fast, physical and elusive style of play. It is exactly the type of challenge our group needs heading into 2026,” Marinkovich said.
“As the final test series before the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, it gives us the chance to come together and take our learnings from our recent international series and continue the build and gain momentum ahead of the Commonwealth Games.”
The final test, hosted in Melbourne via the support of Visit Victoria as the official host partner, will be a highlight of the series.
Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos said:
“Our partnership with the Diamonds means more big games, more visitors and more benefits for Victoria - supporting local jobs, filling our hotels and restaurants, and backing the businesses that keep our economy thriving.
“It’s been a massive run of blockbuster netball in Victoria - game after game bringing fans in and creating real excitement. When it comes to world-class netball there's no better place than Australia's sporting capital."
