The Origin Diamonds sealed the deal on the 2026 Jamaica Series with another outstanding start, eventually running away with a 73-41 victory at Perth's RAC Arena.
Energy was high in the Diamonds camp coming into this clash with one huge win in the books already and plenty of confidence brimming throughout the group.
It was Kate Moloney’s 50th match that loomed big and bright on the calendar, with the side securing a win in the vice-captain’s milestone match.
The second test began much the same as the first, with the Diamonds getting away to a roaring start off the back of excellent defensive pressure.
Their speed in transition was crucial to extending the lead, with captain Liz Watson’s speed through the midcourt and wing attack Georgie Horjus burning her opponent into the pocket.
With a 20-8 lead at the first break, it looked like the Diamonds were in for another comprehensive result.
But while the Diamonds held control, the Jamaican side found their form and continued to provide scoreboard pressure – and with the crowd behind the Jamaican contingent and "home" hero Kadie-Ann Dehaney, there was nothing to lose.
Jamaica’s bravery grew as the match progressed, but so did the scrappiness on court with both sides flying for every ball that came their way.
Jo Weston and Sarah Klau built the defensive pressure beautifully from the very start, before Tilly Garrett and Courtney Bruce took over with vigour for a strong second half.
Elsewhere, Cara Koenen and Kiera Austin proved a hot starting combo with Sophie Squared - Garbin and Dwyer - taking over the load in the second half.
Formidable battles kept the Perth crowd's tongues wagging, with Latanya Wilson's efforts in goal defence particularly impressive as she worked tirelessly to come away with a game-high seven gains.
Horjus was named CODE Sports Player of the Match for her impressive 16 assist, 32 feeds game.
The third and final Jamaica Series test will play at Melbourne's John Cain Arena on Wednesday, February 3.
