Tomorrow night’s Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final is officially a sell-out, with over 10,000 fans set to fill Melbourne’s John Cain Arena.
The season decider between the Adelaide Thunderbirds and the Melbourne Vixens marks the fifth consecutive Grand Final sell-out, following full houses in Melbourne (2025, 2023), Adelaide (2024) and Perth (2022).
To mark a milestone 10th year for the world’s best netball league, the Thunderbirds and the Vixens will be playing for a brand-new trophy.
The new custom designed and manufactured trophy is made from solid brass bronze in 24ct gold finish with an Australian timber base.
It is a modern reinterpretation of the existing trophy, honouring the competition’s history while also reflecting its identity as the world’s best netball league.
The trophy is a symbol of all players – past, present, and future.
This year’s Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final has also attracted record demand off the court.
The official Grand Final Lunch at Centrepiece has sold out, with 950 guests to hear exclusive insights from Adelaide Thunderbirds head coach Tania Obst and Melbourne Vixens head coach Di Honey, as well as Suncorp Super Netball athletes.
The 2026 Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final is being played at Melbourne’s John Cain Arena in partnership with Visit Victoria.
“The demand we’ve seen for tickets, events and experiences this week highlights the incredible momentum behind netball," Netball Australia Interim CEO Mark Falvo said.
“A decade of Suncorp Super Netball has showcased the world’s best athletes, unforgettable moments and sell-out crowds. A fifth consecutive Grand Final sell‑out shows just how strongly fans connect with this league.”
“The world's best netball deserves the world's best stage, and Melbourne is ready to welcome fans for what promises to be an unforgettable Grand Final," Minister for Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos said.
“Major events like this give thousands of fans a reason to visit Victoria – in turn supporting local businesses, creating jobs and boosting our record $48.6 billion visitor economy.”
