Dual premiership defender Matilda Garrett will return for her sixth season with the Adelaide Thunderbirds in 2026. 

Garrett stepped up further in the side’s defensive unit in 2025 in the absence of Shamera Sterling-Humphrey.

She impressed at both GD and GK and created a formidable partnership with Latanya Wilson.
