The event will be held from 23rd – 28th November 2026 at Nissan Arena, Brisbane, 590 Mains Road, Nathan Queensland 4111 (Turrbal and Yuggera Country).
As this is a Challenge event, results will not contribute to world rankings. The focus is on development of emerging athletes rather than ranking outcomes. Pacific national teams will have the opportunity to compete for world-ranking points at the 2026 Netball World Cup Regional Qualifiers.
The Challenge is a stand-alone event that Netball Australia and Pacific Netball Federations are trialling. Following its delivery, stakeholders will be consulted on its implementation and value in strengthening high performance pathways in the Pacific.
The PacificAus Sports Netball Series will return in its traditional format, featuring full-strength national teams and international stars, including Australian and New Zealand-based athletes, in February 2027.
The Australian First Nations Black Swans will not compete in this Challenge event due to the format change to the tournament. The Black Swans are being supported through high-performance opportunities, ensuring a sustained high-performance program is maintained for 2026 that continues to showcase the calibre of Black Swans athlete talent on the international stage against national teams. Further details on the Black Swans’ campaign for 2026 will be shared in due course.
