What a year for JLP.
Another strong Suncorp Super Netball campaign, for starters.
She then followed that up with an outstanding international season on the world stage.
Jamie-Lee Price is your typical Aussie wing defence: reliable to a Tee.
On-court presence? Tick.
Ball-winning ability? Tick.
An innate ability to float through the air to evade opposition, cause turnovers and just generally wreak havoc? Tick.
Her ability to grind down her opposition was seen across both her SSN and international campaigns in 2026, making for an impressive Liz Ellis Diamond award to cap off the year.
Let’s start with her SSN season.
Fourteen immensely challenging GIANTS matches, rallying the troops throughout a disappointing first half to the season to come out flying after the midway point.
JLP’s clever ball use and strength were on show, tallying the most goal assists for her side out in centre (217) and third most in the league for circle feeds (444).
She sits behind only Diamonds captain Liz Watson (578) and SSN wing attack of the year Alice Teague-Neeld (489) for feeds this season.
From a defensive standpoint she picked off 19 deflections and eight intercepts, as well as 16 pickups.
Most important of all was her leadership throughout a tough season for the side, backing captain Jo Harten all the way before Harten and the GIANTS’ faithful leader Julie Fitzgerald retired at season’s end.
From a Diamonds perspective, she played 393 minutes of a possible 434 across all seven test matches.
She recorded an MVP performance against the Proteas in Game 3 of the South Africa Series, tallying three of her eventual eight intercepts for the International Test Series in that match.
She showcased her tenacity, flair and physicality against a similarly physical New Zealand side.
And not to mention claimed some insane intercepts along the way.
So after a rollercoaster 2025, what’s to come for 2026?
JLP’s off to Melbourne, suiting up in the Mavericks sky blue for the upcoming SSN season.
It will be a fresh start for the midcourter, who departs her home of Sydney for a new-look Mavs outfit.
A return to the JLP-Amy Parmenter midcourt netball fans know and love will sooth the move, while the relocation also puts her back in the same state as her partner, Harry.
