The Constellation Cup series between the Australian Diamonds and the New Zealand Silver Ferns will return in October.
The 16th edition of the four-match series will begin in New Zealand with matches in Auckland and Christchurch, before crossing the Tasman for the final two tests.
The Diamonds will host the Silver Ferns in match three of the series at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Sunday 25 October, with the final match to take place at Melbourne’s John Cain Arena on Wednesday 28 October in partnership with Visit Victoria.
Last year’s series saw the Diamonds reclaim the Constellation Cup, emerging victorious from the thrilling series decider over-time match in Christchurch.
Australian Diamonds head coach Stacey Marinkovich shared her enthusiasm for finishing the series on home soil.
“Playing at home is an experience unlike any other,” Marinkovich said.
“The Constellation Cup is an intense rivalry where the passion on the court is reflected in each country’s home crowd – the sense of pride goes beyond the court, and we can’t wait to be a part of that atmosphere.
“The rivalry between Australia and New Zealand is iconic, and every time these two teams meet, there’s an added level of intensity and excitement.
“We’re looking forward to bringing that energy in front of packed crowds at John Cain Arena and Qudos Bank Arena in October.”
Minister for Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos said:
“The Constellation Cup is one of the fiercest rivalries in netball and bringing Australia and New Zealand together in Melbourne adds another exciting event to our blockbuster calendar.”
“Events like this inspire travel and this match will attract fans from across the Tasman to experience everything Victoria has to offer – which will be a huge boost for jobs and our visitor economy.”
Tickets for the Sydney and Melbourne matches will go on sale in September.
The Constellation Cup will be broadcast live and exclusive in Australia on Fox Sports, available on Foxtel, Kayo and BINGE.
