Laura Scherian

Laura Scherian took her first national league steps with the AIS Canberra Darters and made a brief cameo with the Firebirds before a seven-year hiatus from the competition.​

Her discipline and persistence paid off when the Lightning handed her a chance. Scherian is now a two-time premiership player and Diamond #178.​ The speedster recently joining the Adelaide Thunderbirds for season 2024.
