Next week’s 17/U and 19/U National Championships gold medal matches will be beamed live across Australia, with both games to be streamed online.
The Championships, which will be hosted in Adelaide from Tuesday 17 April to Sunday 22 April, will bring Australia’s best under-age talent together for five days of elite netball action.
And the gold medal games will be screened live on Netball Australia’s Facebook page, with the 17/U final on Sunday at 1pm AEST and the 19/U game at 2.15pm AEST.
The coverage will feature a star-studded commentary booth, with Adelaide Thunderbirds coach Dan Ryan and defender Kate Shimmin to step behind the microphone.
Shimming and Ryan, who was previously a commentator in the ANZ Championship, will provide expert analysis, while the stream will also feature live scores, multiple camera angles and replays.
Thunderbirds assistant coach Jane Woodlands-Thompson will MC the event.
Victoria are the defending champions in the 19/U age group after comfortably accounting for Queensland 25-17 in last year’s final game, while in the 17/U division South Australia will be trying to go back to back, after holding on in a heartstopper last year to beat Victoria 26-25.
