Conference Final positions on the line

There are only three rounds left to play until the Conference Finals, but there’s no sign of the action slowing down.

It’s shaping up to be one of the biggest games this season, with West Coast Fever travelling to face the Melbourne Vixens.

Being victorious in this game could be the difference between playing finals and missing out, with goal percentage the decider.

Both sides are coming off the back of wins – Fever over the Swifts in a one-goal thriller, whilst the Vixens flexed their muscles convincingly against the Northern Mystics.

Last time they met in Round 8 at Perth Arena only one goal separated the two teams.

Should she take to the court, Verity Simmons will play her 50th ANZ Championship game – can the Fever deliver her a win to mark the milestone?

The Adelaide Thunderbirds host the NSW Swifts, after claiming their first win of the season and a boost in confidence.

The Swifts are chasing the exclusive privilege of hosting the Australian Conference Final, with the Queensland Firebirds sitting out Round Twelve with their scheduled bye.

After a stellar performance last round, Thunderbirds’ youngster Kristina Brice will be put to the ultimate test, up against Sharni Layton, one of Australia’s best.

Foundation player Emily Beaton is set to become the first Adelaide Thunderbirds player to notch up 100 games for the club this weekend.

Both games will heavily influence the make-up of the Australian Conference Finals.
