The Australian Diamonds play their first Test on Australian soil this Wednesday, hosting the England Roses at Adelaide Arena.

The Diamonds are coming off a strong performance against the South Africa Spar Proteas, winning 68 – 43, whereas the Roses suffered a 26-goal loss against the New Zealand Silver Ferns.

The two teams last met during the Diamonds’ Tour of England, which saw the Diamonds take a clean sweep of the Series 3-0.

Keep an eye on the contest between Madi Robinson and Serena Guthrie, both boasting impressive speed and agility. Robinson was named MVP in her first appearance for the Diamonds since 2014 in Saturday’s first Test.

This match will be the second of the Diamonds’ three-Test Quad Series, with the winner of the inaugural series to be crowned on Sunday.

From the coach:

“It was a strong contest when we last played the Roses in January. We came away with the series 3-0, however it didn’t come easy.

“We expect England will step up the intensity when we meet in Adelaide.

“There are a number of areas we have been working on after reviewing our opening Test against South Africa. We are aiming for continuous improvement.

This will be the first Test we play on Australian soil in 2016 and we can’t wait to hear our fans cheering in a stadium full of green and gold.”
