Banking giant ANZ has strengthened its support for developing Australia’s next generation of netball Diamonds by signing as a Major Partner of Netball Australia.
Under the agreement, ANZ will remain the Principal Partner of ANZ NetSetGO, Netball Australia’s introductory program aimed at children aged from 5 to 10.
ANZ is also continuing as the Principal Sponsor of the ANZ Championship for another three years, which will extend its partnership with the world’s best netball league to nine seasons.
ANZ has been the Principal Sponsor of the ANZ Championship since the league began in 2008.
Netball Australia Chief Executive Officer Kate Palmer said the partnership with ANZ is a significant investment not just netball, but for women’s sport in Australia.
“We are thrilled that ANZ is extending its commitment to help grow our sport from grass roots level right through to our world champions, the Australian Diamonds,” Palmer said.
“Netball is the leading women’s participation and team-based sport in Australia for 15 to 24 year olds and our ANZ NetSetGO program gives children a positive introduction to netball in a safe and fun environment.
“This is where our future Diamonds will emerge from and ANZ’s support of the NetSetGO program will ensure every youngster Australia-wide has access to centres and learns how to play this great game.”
