All we want for Christmas …

NA_seasonsgreetingsAfter what’s been a hectic year on the netball calendar, Christmas is that time of the year where everyone gets the chance to relax, unwind and celebrate with family and friends.

Like most of the netball community, the Australian Diamonds get excited about the arrival of Santa Claus in a couple of weeks and seeing what his bag of gifts brings them. We asked some of the team what they wanted for Christmas this year:

Lisa Alexander: A Netball World Cup SYDNEY 2015 Gold Medal!

Laura Geitz: Some downtime with my family back on the farm. I’m hanging out for it.

Julie Corletto: I would like another puppy so that our four-year-old Golden Retriever Jack has a play buddy.

Renae Hallinan: A puppy!

Madi Robinson: Each year I ask for an experience, something I have never done before. I like to have a memory of something rather than an object. This year I will be wishing for a photography experience.

Kim Ravaillion: A polaroid camera.

Tegan Caldwell: My house to be completely landscaped and made beautiful.

Liz Watson: I’ve always wanted a pet turtle.

Erin Bell: I would love a food processor so I can make lots of healthy meals over summer.

Rebecca Bulley: I would like a new coffee machine, a new outdoor setting and a power blender.

Gabi Simpson: A go pro camera.

Caitlin Thwaites: Some time off to chill out and spend time with my loved ones. Or some tickets to a concert- I love live music!

Susan Pettitt (nee Pratley): A new GPS/heart rate monitor sports watch.

Karyn Bailey: Spend quality time surrounded by those I love and cherish – it’s just a bonus I get to do that on a cruise ship!

From everyone at Netball Australia, we’d like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and a safe holiday season with your family and friends and loved ones.

After winning the Commonwealth Games Gold Medal in Glasgow this year, the Diamonds are preparing themselves for one of the biggest years in Australian netball with the Netball World Cup SYDNEY 2015 on the horizon in August.
