“We’re set for fascinating final three tests.”

By Lisa Alexander.

It was certainly a night of firsts for the Diamonds with our backs against the wall and the Silver Ferns out for blood.

Our gutsy two-goal win in Auckland has leveled up the Constellation Cup series at one game each as we know head back to Australia for the remaining three games.

Thursday night was Laura Geitz’s first win as Diamonds captain – and what a performance she produced!

It was exactly what the team needed after the disappointment of our first Test loss down in Invercargill.

Well done Laura!

For our young star Kim Ravaillion, it was the first time she had played in a winning team wearing the gold dress at senior level.

The monkey is off her back.

After our defeat at Invercargill, we worked very hard during the week to address our shortcomings with some honest analysis and hard work out on the training court.

A wise coach one said confidence is built on the training track! This was created with attention to detail and a commitment from the players to address the issues at hand.

We also feel the great support from our fans back home.

So the players want you to keep that coming over the next few weeks in Adelaide, Melbourne and Canberra as we look to reclaim the Constellation Cup.

Go Diamonds!
