Four training partners will assist the Samsung Australian Diamonds Netball Quad Series team in finalising preparations for the series opener in Brisbane on Saturday 26 August.
Diamonds squad members Kate Moloney, Caitlyn Nevins and Susan Pettitt will take part in the Quad Series preparation camp, alongside GIANTS Netball goal keeper Sam Poolman.
Sunshine Coast Lightning’s Kelsey Browne and Laura Scherian have also been invited into the training camp to participate in courtwork sessions held at USC Stadium.
Coach Lisa Alexander said “our training partners play an important role in refining our preparations for the Netball Quad Series. The four athletes will participate in all aspects of the camp, including performance analysis, courtwork and off court activities,” she said.
“Kelsey and Laura have also been invited in, after attending Diamonds courtwork sessions in the lead in to this tour. We look to provide opportunities in exposing local Suncorp Super Netball athletes to Diamonds courtwork sessions where possible,” Alexander explained.
The Diamonds host the England Roses at Brisbane Entertainment Centre Boondall at 3.00pm AEST Saturday 26 August. The New Zealand Silver Ferns will play South Africa Spar Proteas at the same venue immediately following the Australian game. Tickets available via Ticketek or watch live on Channel 9 and the Netball Live app.
