About

Sue Hawkins spent five years in the Australian team, highlighted by her role in spearheading her country to victory in the 1983 Netball World Cup.

The accurate shooter formed a formidable combination with Anne Sargeant during her career.

After retiring, Hawkins was a national selector and appointed Netball Australia’s first ever High Performance Manager in 1999.

Her coaching career began when she was playing coach of her club team in Melbourne and she progressed through the ranks at both state and national level, eventually taking on the role as England national coach, leading them to the 2011 Netball World Cup.

In 2015 she was appointed coach of New Zealand side the Mainland Tactix in the ANZ Championship.
