About

As a player, Roselee Jencke was a dependable and skilled goal keeper in 43 Test appearances for Australia.

She captained the Australian 21/U team in 1984 before making her open debut in February the following year against New Zealand in her home town of Melbourne.

Jencke was a key player in Australia’s 1991 Netball World Cup triumph in Sydney, pulling off a match-saving intercept in the final minute to ensure a one-goal victory. She received Order of Australia Medal and Australia Day Medal in 1992.

Jencke took over as coach of the Queensland Firebirds in 2010 and guided the team to ANZ Championship titles in 2011 – completing the season undefeated – and in 2015.

She has also been a selector, assistant coach and specialist coach with the Australian team.
