Get ready for the final international Test of 2016.
The competition moves to ILT Stadium Southland, Invercargill, a fortress of New Zealand netball. The Diamonds have only played at the stadium four times across 15 years; their last appearance was during the 2014 Constellation Cup.
Last time they met, the Diamonds bounced back from a two-goal loss to claim victory over the Ferns in Auckland by 12 goals. Make no mistake; the Ferns will be out firing from the opening whistle in this final Constellation Cup Test.
Keep an eye on the contest between Caitlin Bassett and Anna Harrison. The New Zealand defender gave Bassett a run for her money in the second Test, however sharp-shooting Bassett had the upper hand in Auckland.
This will be Captain Clare McMeniman’s final Test in green and gold – the Diamonds will want to put it all on the line to end her netball career on a high.
Watch the final of the Constellation Cup live on Thursday 20 October at 7.30pm NZT (5.30pm AEDT) on Fox Sports 3 and the Netball Live app (subscribers only). Netball Live is available from the App Store and Google Play.

From the coach:
“We were pleased that the learnings we took from Launceston assisted us in Auckland, and will look to continue this progress. We still have improvement to come, and we need to ensure that our performance steps up another notch, because we know that the Ferns will come out strong.
“We know that this will not be an easy game. We are playing on their home ground, in front of their vocal fans. The Silver Ferns will throw everything at us, with the Constellation Cup title on the line.”
- The Diamonds leads the Series 2 – 1. The Ferns must win by a margin of 23 goals to be awarded the Constellation Cup.
- The Australian Netball Team has played at ILT Stadium Southland four times in total – winning twice – all against New Zealand.
- Diamonds Captain Clare McMeniman will retire at the conclusion of the Series.
