GOLD COAST COMMONWEALTH GAMES

The Gold Coast Commonwealth Games (GC2018) will be held from the 4th to 15th of April 2018. This global sporting event will see approximately 6,500 athletes and officials from 71 countries compete over 11 days in 18 different sports. GC2018 will require the energy and enthusiasm of 15,000 volunteers to help deliver the games.

NETBALL COMPETITION

The Netball competition will be held across two locations on the Gold Coast. The preliminary rounds will be held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCE) from the 5th – 12th April 2018, with the semi-finals and medal matches to be played at Coomera Indoor Sports Centre (CSC) from the 14th – 15th April 2018.

SPORT SPECIFIC VOLUNTEERS

GC2018 are now seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for outstanding individuals with sport specific knowledge and experience to fill the available volunteer’s roles and work across the netball competition. In addition to the days of competition, there will be volunteering opportunities at the designated training venue, commencing from 25th March 2018.

All of you will be working together to assist in making the GC2018 games a successful event.

Please Note: All candidates who are interested in being considered for a SSV role must register to be a volunteer by completing the GC2018 Volunteer Registration process. This is an online process. The Volunteer Portal will be open from February 2017 for a period of 4 weeks.
