Caitlyn Nevins and Kate Moloney have been selected in the Samsung Diamonds Constellation Cup team, alongside Emily Mannix, with the first test in Auckland on Thursday 5 October.

Nevins made her Australian netball debut in January 2017, whilst Moloney is yet to debut for the Diamonds, after being named in the squad for the first time in June.

The Samsung Diamonds will travel with 13 athletes for the Constellation Cup, naming a final 12 prior to each test.

Madi Robinson has been omitted from the Constellation Cup team. Robinson remains a member of the squad and the leadership group and will continue her progression towards 2018 working from her home base.

Sharni Layton will continue her leave of absence from the sport.

The defensive end remains the same as the recent Netball Quad Series, with Stephanie Wood and Susan Pettitt joining as goal attacks, and a new-configuration midcourt.

“With limited test matches prior to the Commonwealth Games, national selectors and I want to see further options through the midcourt, in addition to our two goal attacks already coming in to the team,” said coach Lisa Alexander.

“As squad members, Caitlyn and Kate have already been training alongside the team to assist in all preparations, and will be ready to play their role for the team.”

Alexander said “we will be working with Madi on the areas of her game requiring improvement and she will continue this work at home base. We look forward to seeing her back on court in 2018.”

The Samsung Diamonds will meet in Auckland on Sunday 1 October to commence the Constellation Cup tour. Purchase tickets for Adelaide and Sydney now.
