Gilbert’s stable of netball stars continues to grow with dominant shooter Caitlin Bassett the latest athlete to become a brand ambassador.

The Australian Diamonds and West Coast Fever star is arguably the world’s best goal shooter coming off an outstanding 12 months both at international level and in the ANZ Championships.

The 27-year-old has played 53 Tests for the Diamonds and was an integral part of their 2011 and 2015 Netball World Cup winning teams and 2014 Commonwealth Games gold medal.

In 2015 Bassett became the first foundation player to reach the 100-game milestone for Fever and also the first Australian to shoot 600 goals in an ANZ Championship season, earning selection in the FOXTEL All-Star Team for the first time.

“I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with Gilbert in this new capacity,” Bassett said.

“Gilbert has such a strong brand in our game that it was the perfect fit. I’m looking forward to working with them both on and off the court.”

Gilbert Netball Brand Manager Leah Curtis is delighted to have Bassett come on board as a brand ambassador, joining the likes of Kim Ravaillion, Erin Bell, Susan Pettitt, Sharelle McMahon and Mo’onia Gerrard.

“Caitlin is one of the most recognisable players in Australian netball and is known for her accuracy, skill and dedication,” Curtis said.

Curtis said that Gilbert has developed a new netball – designed by Bassett herself – which will be available in stores in time for Christmas.
