The Australia Post One Netball Ambassadors will begin to hit the road today, rewarding the seven winners of the 2015 Australia Post One Netball Community Awards.

_MCA9322LiRusty Hazel, Karina Franke, Christine Perry, Julijana Caldwell, St Mary’s Netball Club, Paraburdoo Netball Association and Ku-ring-gai Netball Association will all be recognised for going above and beyond to create and support inclusive netball environments.

Each winner will be rewarded with Australia Post prize packs worth over $1000 and a money can’t buy experience of an Ambassador visit from either Geva Mentor, Kimberlee Green, Josie Janz-Dawson or Beryl Friday.

Award winner Karina Franke said the exposure to an elite netballer from the visit would benefit the netballers with a disability from the Eagles Netball Program in Wollongong.AUSTPOSTNETBALL21

“Winning this Award will be amazing for our program. It gives us an opportunity to raise the profile of our team in the local community and the opportunity to purchase resources that we otherwise cannot afford,” Franke said.

The clinic (with Australia Post One Netball Ambassador, Kimberlee Green) will be so exciting for our girls, a fantastic end to what has been a very successful season with our program growing from just five participants to 14 in the past year.”
