This year there will be a slightly modified format to fit all matches and entertainment into two action-packed days in the second weekend of November.
Netball New Zealand (NNZ) and the International Netball Federation (INF) announced today that the dates will be Saturday November 8 and Sunday November 9 and will feature a slightly different format over the two days with more details to come in the following months.
Matches will start early afternoon on both the Saturday and Sunday, designed to make it easier for teams and spectators to be fully engaged and involved throughout the whole weekend, culminating with the Grand Final on Sunday evening.
The world’s top six netball nations will be back to compete at Auckland’s Vector Arena in what promises to be another spectacle of show-stopping FAST5 Netball.
Our FAST5 Flyers were runners-up to the FAST5 Ferns from New Zealand in 2013 with teams from South Africa, Malawi, England and Jamaica completing the line-up.
INF President Molly Rhone says the FAST5 Netball World Series is one of the most exciting events on the INF International Events calendar.
“FAST5 has proven extremely popular with fans and players alike and with broadcast coverage reaching an international audience, we’re excited to confirm another year of exciting FAST5 action in Auckland,” she said.
Tickets go on sale in early June and after the success of the 2012 and 2013 tournaments, are expected to be snapped up fast.
